The eve

Just before dawn; the darkness is darkest

Just before a birth the devil is furious

Just before your big day…

The enemy does all it can to spoil it

Your eve is just moments away before your celebration

Of course; you would have been swamped with thing to do

So many people needs you almost at the same time

But no matter how busy, please pause to pray

Prayer is work; infact it is hard work

But prayer based on God’s word is the anchor

Do not think because you are happy, everyone else is

The reason for your celebration may be the cause of their anger

The New Year approaches

Another fresh start beckons

Do not get complacent child of God

Do not be unwise my fellows

Pray in tongues; Pray in understanding

Pray standing, Pray walking

Pray cooking, Pray working

But Pray

Don’t play nice,

Stop whatever wants to stop you

Your new dawn approaches

Take your victory, war in prayers

And you shall seek me, and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Check

As a year ends

It is important to reflect on the outing year

Where was I in January; where am I now

Take a stock of your year

Were you stagnate while the months counted

Was any loss recorded; was any progress made

In taking stock of your days; you are guided

To make the coming year count

Check your circle of friendship

Check what you have exposed your mind to

Check what you have given your time to

That’s a good way to access your year

Nothing ventured; nothing gained

No wishful talks; no daydreams

Whatever you sow in your year is what you reap

So check your harvest(s)

Prayer must be backed with actions

Faith must be seconded by works

Negative talkers should not expect positives

Expectations must be based on activations

If you don’t want the harvest; don’t sow the seed

While the ending year count down grows louder

Take a time apart to check on you

Turn the full light on yourself. Do it now

Then you can pen down a suitable New Year resolution

Teach us O Lord to number our days so as to apply our hearts unto wisdom Psalm90:12

My Christmas Discovery

I joined my children to watch their cartoons today and I must confess I was disturbed by what I saw

Lots of the shows was Christmas themed. But there is zero mention of the Christ being celebrated.

Emphasis are on holidays, the Christmas tree, the Father Christmas, party, feasting but deliberately shunning that the day means Christ Mass, or simply put; His birthday.

It dawned on me that if we do not take time to teach our children, a lot of what they watch will give them all sorts of ideas of Christmas. So I encourage all believers to take a moment to explain the meaning of this day and correct the distracting emphasis on objects such as the tree, chicken or even the party.

Christmas is a day of a promise delivered. A day God gave us His best to free us from our worst.

For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son John3:16

Jesus is the reason for all the merriment. Let’s keep the emphasis on Him and deliberately do all we can to educate all.

IT HAPPENED

A long time ago

There was a prophecy

A birth that would change the world…

On a certain day the prophecy HAPPENED

As I ruminated on the essence of this day

I realized that an age long prophecy came to pass

What the devil never wanted; HAPPENED

The word spoken has become flesh

As I join the world to wish Jesus Happy Birthday

I also like to announce…

What the devil thought will not happen for me…

HAS HAPPENED

Again; light has overcome darkness

You need to know how hard the devil tried to stop this day

So my fellows no matter how impossible the goal is; it will HAPPEN

No matter how long you have waited; it will HAPPEN

Christmas is Christ’s Birthday

Let Christ be at the center of our merry making

On this day let Him be at the center of our conversations

Because I also realized that some don’t know what the day really is for
