Don't Fall From Grace

I have read the Psalm before
But I saw it quiet differently
Several versions gave clearer meaning 
Which forced meditation and prayers

Psalm 89 is about King David
Though he's not the author 
It's about the Lord's choice of a nobody 
The help he obtained though he was undesired...

He came from one of the worst place ever
To the top of the dynasty 
With promises of his unending relevance 
His name will endure forever; God will see to it

Talk of safety, greatness, fame, victory, relevance...
It's a long read of enviable promises 
Then suddenly the words changed 
God will walk away from this wow blessings 

The Lord will not do as he promised 
The psalmist wants Gods anger to subside
And I wanted to know what went wrong...
What was responsible for this fallout?

Was the bridge ever mended?
This were some of my thoughts; then my prayer 
May I not fall from Grace.
