What has a beginning surely ends

Thank God for endings

After a stressful day, one looks forward to rest

For Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke rest approaches

After decades of ministry across the globe

The great man draws to a finale in style

Reinhard Bonnke farewell crusade holds

This baton is to be handed to another

I have read Living a life of Fire; his autobiography

It’s a life totally released unto God

Africa’s own evangelist

Calls us to gather one last time

My feelings are missed

Its sadness and joy; its fear and excitement

I dread the day but it approaches fast

I sense a strong message; I hear a warning

Can we find one such as him?

Completely sold, and out for God

Used and honored by the one he served

Dear, Dear Evangelist Bonnke

I recall a part of his biography

He stated that he was not the first or second…

He was actually a third choice

He accepted the call others rejected

As he rest from his long years of work

God calls out to you

Live for more than yourself

Live for more than physical needs

Papa Reinhard we have been blessed

We have been enriched

And now we are being challenged

Take the torch and touch the world you say

For those that will hear what God is saying

Let’s brace up and live for more

Let’s make the sacrifices

Let’s allow God in our lives

Fort-Ress

My fortress

My shelter from all storms

My Hiding place

My place of refuge

In the wicked world we live

We need a home away from home

A secret place of peace

A safe haven from all storms

God has become my place

In Him I hide

In His love I stride

In His peace I abide

It is the sweetest note

The most beautiful knowledge

To have my guide with me

The Lord strong and mighty walks with me

I stride gallantly

I march majestically

The sweet presence of God

Adorns my abode

So lovingly has He kept me

So much peace as He given me

What I do not deserve He bestows on me

I love the way the Lord cares for me

I really don’t know what I did to deserve Him

Life is sweeter; I am made bold by His presence

I am thankful for the priceless peace

I am using this piece to thank my Lord

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God. Psalm 59:16,17

Still waiting

Sitting here in the waiting area

Waiting for any piece of information

Any news to end my long wait

It’s so frustrating; I know he will call for me

In life we are going to seat at different waiting rooms

It could be for a job, child, marriage, restoration…

It is no fun to have to wait for anything

But this is the reality we all experience

The question is; who are you waiting for

I have had to cancel meetings

When the other party showed up late

Especially when the excuse was inadequate

In God’s waiting room; it is different

The miracle you thought will be instant

Is dragging on for years

Several people I met at the waiting area have gone

I am still here, feeling abandoned

Wearied to even say another word of prayer

When when when; why why why

Still I am asked to wait

Does God even know I exist?

Does He even care ‘bout my plight

Why is He treating me this way?

Why is He not answering my calls?

If you are waiting on God

Then you will have to wait till He calls for you

Trust Him enough to enjoy the wait

Fill your life with is word; it gives hope

Burst any bubble of doubt as it arrives

The long wait will end soon

The long wait will be worth the while

Wait on God; you will possess soon

I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. Psalm 130:5

True Riches

No pain, no gain

No labour, no favour

No fasting, no feasting

No grace, no good

The pursuit of money often lead to many paths

True enduring riches doesn’t spring up overnight, except by inheritance

A little here a little there

With help from above you will get there

It is a wonder the path some choose to attain wealth

They could go to extreme ends just to make money

By all evil method possible

Any extent; without a regard for their fellows

True riches is available to all

Come from the poorest background, or the richest

You can from anywhere get to the top

True riches is not without its price; but it gives true peace

I know the route I am taking up

And I can reproduce same no matter where I find myself

The secret is always in the secret place

My intimacy with my God I do not joke with

Rich in God; rich in friendships

Rich in favour; rich in ideas

Rich in help; rich in health

True riches gives all round wealth

Some of those you envy cannot sleep soundly

The devil plagues them with fear

They drown their sorrow with substances

Because the source of their wealth is questionable

Have peace of mind

Have joy in life

Have pleasures untold

Have the truest riches

Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. If, then, you have not; been faithful with

worldly wealth, who will entrust you with true riches?  Luke 16:10, 11

Flipping from one horrid news to another

Glancing at yet another evil occurrence

One begins to wonder…

Is there no good news

The world is in chaos

From the pulpit to the pew and the pub

Similar trends fill the air

Where is God? When will He appear?

The Lord is definitely not without witnesses

Their voices will yet be heard

They will be sought out for the power of God

Because steadily we are heading to them

There comes a time when man and machine fails

When our best and worst strategies comes to naught

A time approaches when we all look to God for answers

The world is in chaos; it has been prophesied

Let the dark get darker

It only makes the light more appealing

There is going to be an outbreak of God

God will appear, I am convinced

Let’s not be like those without hope

The earth is the Lord and all that’s in it

There will be a sudden appearance

I say to you; whatever you do. DO IT WELL

If good continue; if bad think of God’s watching eyes

I write of what I am told

What I have heard; what I am convinced of…

AN OUTBREAK OF GOD

Keep standing firmly in God

No negotiations

God is mighty to save; think about it

Have faith; believe for a better day

Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.

You came out to deliver your people, to save your anointed one. You crushed the leader of the land of wickedness,

you stripped him from head to foot. Habakkuk 3:2,13

Forever settled

The word of the Lord is it

The firm anchor that holds any storm

The gentle silencer of all cries

The word of God is it

Kings rule by decrees

Their word is law

You better adhere to their commands

Or you invoke their wrath

Under the influence of alcohol

A man can make impossible statements

Of course no one counts the word of a drunk

When he is sober you cannot hold him accountable

Were God to carelessly make a decree?

Were Him to say; you will be excel beyond odds

Amen! So be it, will be my response

But will His decree really become real?

There is always a meeting point for all God’s promises

The part of God is settled; the part of man is the variable

Many pronouncements of God has fizzled out

Because there is no man to make it happen

I realize that laziness could be a hindrance

Get up and work;

Laziness in the place of prayer

Laziness in action

To walk with God you must know about work

He works; He is not lazing around

While I rejoice with you that He has made a decree

I hope you will employ yourself to make it happen

Potentials awaiting manifestation

Will you get up and go

And let’s see God’s word become real for you

I am working; I hope you are too

I love to pray?

Various types and forms of prayers are taught in the Bible

Each suitable for its different use

Of course you know it is important to pray

Pray without ceasing

Do not give up on prayer

It is communicating with the Almighty

We need His help immensely and so we call

From the above we can deduce that praying is talking to God

What an immense privilege for us at these times

But several people see prayer as a bore

Probably because they do not know the blessing attached

Or maybe they have so many unanswered prayers

Firstly God NEVER answers the prayer of a sinner

And I discovered that many while praying to God

Are looking for other alternatives should God fail

God NEVER fails. He ALWAYS answers

If HE has not answered you

Then you wait, don’t go seeking alternatives

Many have put more yokes on themselves

By going for the devil’s offer or temporal alternative

I love talking to God

It’s fun for me because there’s no formality to it

He is my Father remember; and I am His child

Whatever chore or activity I undertake

There is always time to gist or ask Him for help or guidance

Of course there are special time I put aside to pray

But I advice you start with what time you can handle

Stop seeing prayer as a bore; see it as a Father - Son time

He is a Father like no other; He loves freely and He longs for you

Dear Father, I want to know you more and I want to spend more time with you. Please help me to grow in you. Help me to discard the irrelevances that eat up my time. Help me to prioritize being in your presence. Please make our prayer time a most enjoyable moment. I pray in Jesus name. Amen
