Out on a Date with Jesus

Those who don’t know think He’s just the Carpenters son

He is the most powerful of all Beings

On Earth, beneath earth and above, His name is Highest

He is the most loving and He loves me

 

It is the reddish season

The love flowers are everywhere

St. Valentine’s Day is here

And I am going out on a date with King Jesus

I get to eat the Bread that satisfies all I hunger for

I get to drink from the wine that relives and revives

I get to thank Him for loving me so tenderly

I get to tell Him the defeat the devil keeps getting from me

I remember the stripes He took that made me bade the physician bye

I recall His name that is my strength in all circumstance

I recount His affirming words that encourages me always

I remember His loving chastening in helping me fulfill destiny

Oh how I love you Jesus

So passionately you fought back the hold of Satan over me

Your death and resurrection secured my freedom

And still you keep helping me as I make Heaven my goal

No greater love or lover is there, Ever true always sure

My few words cannot describe the depth of my appreciation

The Christ that could love a sinner like me

I am privileged to be yours; my great Lover Jesus

Will you love to make Him a part of your life?

Real Joy you will discover in the journey

He will sort you out and set you en-route greatness

Here’s a little help

Dear Jesus, my life is a mess without you in it. I surrender to you today please forgive me all my sins, fill my life with your joy, remove the hold of sin, sickness, poverty, depression and death over me. I want to start a new life with you beginning now. Come into my life and make me whole.
