I became familiar with the reality of HIV/AIDS while working with an NGO that was into creating awareness, protection and advocacy. My role included production of their magazine and other consumables.
As a result of this, I had physical contact with PLWH which is acronym for People Living With HIV.
On an occasion, I interviewed a medical doctor on the effects of Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) on PLWs. The medical man helped broaden my knowledge on the grave danger the virus poses to the unborn, especially if the mother is not adhering to the use of the ARVs.
However, the child need not be infected if the PMTCT rules are adhered to.
I wrote the above to butress the fact that,
A child may suffer the consequences of the sins/mistake of his forebears. Also, the fact that one can break free from evil ancestry.
Hence, I titled this piece - God's PMTCT.

Getting tested is the first step in treating HIV. Therefore, know your status, what is out of place, a negative pattern... etc.
Another general advice will be praying. However, because we are faced with varying circumstance, the Holy Spirit is our best bet in addressing individual issues.
...But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. John16:13
Curses or blessings can be handed down from one generation to the next. If it's a blessing be grateful but it's its the opposite, with God you can break free.
For everyone born of God overcomes the world... 1 John 5:4
