It's all in the Name

Name is given to all things, living or non for several reasons, but foremost for identity. It's a unique gift we all posses. No one wants to be addressed with unfitting appellation and so we take a dislike to anyone that wants to pin on us a name that contradict our person.

Several powerful individuals have walked the earth and their names brings a recall of their sojourn here. However, in time the power behind the name of a person fades into oblivion. All we have left is the feeling their name reveberate when mentioned.

Of all names, the name Jesus is in a class like none other. It's being more than 2000years He walked the earth, yet His name has only remained popular and powerful. When put to use, His name commands respect in all realms known or unknown to us.

Jesus is the name of quick response given to all who believe in Him. Several use the name but they don't know the potential of the name. Their limited knowledge robs them of the unlimited might the name carries. Sometimes they don't use as lavishly as they ought.

After his physical departure, the disciples were beginning to get a grip of the real worth is name potends and on an occasion they will exemplify to the world their reality. I am thrilled by the words of Peter...

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12.

Under the heavens, above or beneath there's no other name that delivers enormous privileges to its user.

You must seek a divine revelation of the name Jesus. You must believe and embrace it's awesomeness.You must also use lavishly and as often as you desire.

There's so much to learn... put in the time
It's the sweetest tune, the name Jesus.

Reason for thanks

It seems his was a tale of can my dream ever come true. He was a favoured child, though his mum was late, his dad ensured he did not lack love and care. He will make for him a coat of many colours, to distinguish him from his siblings.

Joseph was the guy with the bigger than life dream. He was a star in the making, but his huge dream angered his brothers, who thought he was unnecessarily favoured above them. Their hatred for him will make them sell him off to foreigners.

Let's see what becomes of his dreams... however, they forgot that his dream was given by God. Their hatred was the push he needed to JumpStart his fulfilment. Enemies were used to unsettle his nest. All his down turn were in his divine plan for actualisation.

God's way can be so mysterious, His way can be so imposing. Joseph will in time realise that even his terrible experiences were in the bigger picture.

Have you thought to wonder what if your delay was as planned by God. That challenge may be the springboard that will elevate you. If you are God's own, whatever the enemy plans to bring you down are only ladders to your enviable heights.

You have to trust in the one who loves you. Your down times are part of the plan. Don't stop trusting, like Joseph don't give in to the temptation or enticements to cut corners. Don't sell out when your breakthrough is just round the corner.

Hold on, soon you will look back and thank God for that boss, neighbour, relation or friend that betrayed you.

Stand on it

Words are very important, they create the future we hope for. They convey thoughts, emotions, visions, hurts, etc. They reveal innermost secrets and a clear path to follow. Words have been expressed in all genre, signs, songs, paintings etc.

Man can easily default on his words often times its because his own expectations were unmet. Circumstances beyond his power could equally be responsible. That's why the words of men can fail.

If couples will stay true to their marital vows, there will be absolutely no divorce. Somehow, the precious words of affection and eternal commitment shared before family and friends are soon replaced with curse and harsh words.

The power in words is derived from its proclaimer. Words are backed by the weight of the speaker. Men that understand the importance of words will make statements like... I give you my word, my word is my bound etc.

Despite his best intention, man and his words may fail. Only God's word  is unfailing and can be eternally trusted. ...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11

God's word is available for everyone and in every circumstance, it is to be accepted in faith, believed and confessed to drown all opposing situation.

It is a real treasure to have God's word as touching your individual challenge, if you will believe the word received, you will see all contrary situation bow.

Whose words are you presently standing on?

Deceived

It was a well thought plan, it was equally perfectly executed. The deceiver knew just what moves to make and yet another innocent was swindled.

For Joshua, he bought the lies of the Gibeonite, from their tattered clothing, to the worn out sandals, even their food was stale. The plan was to deceive the great leader that their claim of coming from a far distance was genuine.

Moved by what he saw, he believed and never bothered to seek God's opinion. He entered an irrevocable covenant with them that will make the conquering nation, Israel yoked with an enemy who pretended to be a friend.

How many have entered business relationship only to discover that their partners vision is different. How many have married a beast, how many are daily regretting decision made by physical senses only.

It is easy to be swayed by nice gestures, it is easy to get deceived by good orators. Is it however worth the eventual heartache. Prayer is of utmost important when taking decisions, asking for divine help might be your only salvation.

Please let's be mindful, not all friends are worth having. Allow the inner convictions of the Holy Spirit assist you throughout life. Do not fall into the enemies pit. God sees all sides of a dice, he also wants to keep you away from harm if you will trust and obey Him.

Learn from
Spare a moment to pray. Be discerning. Don't live in regret.

Always Good

In so many ways God displays His goodness, mercies towards us each single day. Many times we are purely ignorant of His deeds. It will take Him opening our eyes to really see all that happens daily.

If His mercies are so profound, someone may ask, why then do bad things happen to some people? Why are some prayers not getting answered? How come the world is this chaotic? Why do some get away with evil?

I have had to ask this question a couple of times. At the end I found myself dwelling more on the negatives and I was no better because my mind sank deeper into bitterness at why God would allow bad things happen.

No matter how bittered or angry a situation makes me towards God, I have arrived at a conclusion... God is love. Even in the storm and through the trying times, He constantly display His goodness and mercy daily.

At those times when it seems things are opposite, sincerely express your hurt, pain, disappointed towards Him. Cry if you must, express don't suppress your emotions. But never allow yourself sink into depression.

In time, I see Him coming through for me. What, when and how He does will defer from each one, but the last laugh is always for His beloved. Do not loose the mind battle, listen to edifying songs and messages.

The story is ending with you as the winner. Even if it was as a result of your own mistake, God will pardon and help you back up. Remember, satan thought he had Jesus put away forever. But his joy lasted for a moment.

Jesus rose again, you will also rise. You will be restored like Job. You will triumph like David, like Naomi God will give you a Ruth. It won't be over until you are declared winner. It's ending in praise.

Arise and shine for today is a good day to thank God for His goodness, mercy and love.

Light Up

Whatever the dark had going on, the instance God said the words... Let there be light... The reign of darkness ended instantly. May the light of God appear in all your ways to guide you as you navigate in life.

Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt, they encountered a barrier on their path. They were faced with a mass of sea water. The Egyptians were also hot in their pursuit. God gave the instruction, move forward.

Right before their eyes, the huge sea parted into two revealing a dry land they walked on. God would make that open sea the burial site of their pursuer's. You will prevail over unrelenting and unrepentant enemies.

A child of God has the right to call on God in an instant, and the heavenly Father will help lift him up from his predicament. For Moses his words enlightened him and gave him the boldness to march on.

God did not make you one the devil can mess with, shake off all cloak of darkness. Get renewed in your mind. You are unharrassable, un-molestable, however if you feel harassed you deal with the enemy just as God instructs.

Let there be light..., it is necessary you are not in the dark concerning any area of your life. It is difficult to have a smooth drive if your vehicle is not adequately lighted. Seek to have God's light in the area of challenge. Then you will be able to take charge accordingly.

You are the best because you are God's own. His light is available for you, by studying his words you equip yourself and by prayers you establish His counsel.

Its the devil that gains if you are ignorant. Let God's light permeate all areas of your life, and send darkness on permanent exile.

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Genesis 1:3

Let Barabbas go!!!

As the chants of the people demanding for his freedom grew, I pondered on the nature of man. Barabbas was a criminal who had been locked up at the time of Jesus for various offences and especially murder.

About this time Jesus had been betrayed, tried for various offences but found innocent. Because his enemies wanted him dead they pushed for the release of a criminal and asked that he be crucified.

What sane mind asks for the release of a security threat against one who went about doing good. It seems many of those he healed or helped had forgotten. As his eyes surveyed the chanting crowd I wondered about his thoughts.

The world he came to save neither appreciated nor wanted him. Betrayal can be hurtful. First, Judas who sold him out for money then this crowd instigated by people who claim to know Gods' law.

As for Barabbas, the criminal has gained a freedom he never deserved. I hope he goes home thinking about the man that died undeservedly in his stead.

Jesus endured it all because he came to hand us true freedom.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5.

By allowing Jesus into your life, you are positioning yourself to receive all his death and resurrection purchased for the world. Don't defer your salvation anymore.

Dear Jesus, I am sorry for my sins please forgive me and accept me as your own. I make you my Lord today. Please relieve me from every hold the devil has on my life. Help me to know and grow in you. I pray, Amen.

The Lion King

Mufasa just got an heir and the whole kingdom came out to celebrate the cub king. Royalty places you above all, and as he was raised to the cheering animals, he saw his future greatness flash before him.

The cub was rather adventourous often straying to enemy lines and despite the much worry and warning of Mufasa, his curious little mind was made alive by intriguing tales as told by his uncle Scar.

Whatever shot Scar had to kingship had been thwarted. Perhaps there are other ways to actualise his ambition. Only if he could get rid of his two hindrances. When the opportunity came he killed one and sent the other on exile.

Loosing his home was tough but the cross of bearing the blame of his father's demise was tougher. The royal breed just turned wanderer. Timon and Pumba will introduce him to a world of eating worms rather than tasty flesh.

Hakuna Matata became his new slogan. A problem and worry free philosophy. On a sunny day, he bent to lap some water in a stream and the water mirrored at him Mufasa. He had grown to resemble the one he was trying to forget.

The image of his father lives in him,  and he had been watching waiting for an opportune time to knock some sense into him. This grace extended heralded his return to his home, the pride. Also, to face and subdue his detractor, Scar.

Do not loose your image, you are born royal. Don't fall prey to the tale of the devil saying you are not good enough. Even in your filth Jesus calls. Come home child, your throne awaits at your demand.

Don't die a wanderer, retrace your steps back to the waiting and loving arms of the one that loved and paid the full price for all wonderful benefits that could be yours.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Watching All

The human makeup is same, we may differ in colour, geography, tongue but we are all categorised human. We have same physical structure, same blood, and same God created us all.

The dividing wall of tribe, religion etc has formed partitions we have not been able to break down. sentiments and prejudices refrain us from embracing our fellow human without bias.

The popular John 3:16, reveals God's love to the whole world, and the Bible categorically states His command to love our neighbour as ourself. Anyone flunking this command better have a reason that God can accept.

Unity is one culture we must discernly allow to flourish. Give peace and love a chance. Sin is what God frowns at, rebellion against his tenets is what he cannot stand. Do you know that you are sinning if you are divisive?

When did skin colour, tribe or practising a religion of choice became a crime? The hatred we feel for a fellow human is purely Satan motivated. Everywhere you look there's violence. The prey and predator is human.

It starts with little envy, jealousy, greed etc, It blossoms to hatred and all forms of evil conspiracy.
A world of love is a lofty dream, but a change can start in your own heart.

Deal with your fellow the same way you want to be dealt. This simple truth will breed a culture of respectful acceptance.

Above us all is the creator, watching the horror scene his world has turned to. At His own time justice will be meted out to each one. God's day approaches, He is coming.

The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. Proverbs 15:3

The Church

It is a city of refuge,  where all is welcome and Jesus is the only message. The church is also called a house of prayer. Prayers, which must be offered to establish the will of God on earth.

The church is a training centre, warriors are raised and equipped to standoff all intimidation and attack to it. Their weapons are more sophisticated than what's out there in the world.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds... 2Corinthians 10:4

Goliath was slain by a single stone shot, Pharaoh and crew was defeated by armless Moses. Stop instilling fear by your messages, what is a witch before God's child. Stop elevating Satan he lost.

However, you must think like a David, know your God. The church is slacking, and failing, preach God's kingdom, preach the essence of Jesus resurrection. Jesus won, we are beneficiary of his winnings not preys of evil groups.

Is your heart perfect towards God, then you must grow in his knowledge and ways.  Ignorance will defeat you. Come out of the evil fold their teachings are no good. Let Jesus lead you to green pastures.

The church of Jesus is not weakly or sickly, God's judgement will come strongly on those defiling it and leading many astray. Worship buildings may be important, but it must never be at the expense of building men.

The righteous breed must stand up and speak up. Jesus is our model, he must be the focus, the only message.

Follow Ezekiel

Some situations may seem too difficult to change for the better, such was the issue before Ezekiel. He was in a valley full of dry bones, and was asked..., can these bones live? He answered, only you know Lord.

Can Nigerian overcome all its troubles? Can there be peace in our world? Can my expectations be met? Call them dry bone situations. However, to make his impossibles possible, Ezekiel had to obey a simple rule. Prophecy, speak out in faith. Ezekiel 36:7.

If you stare too long at the negative, believing for a positive outcome maybe very hard. You must see from God's perspective, and speak out based on what you know is possible through him.

The valley of dry bones became a living army. All things are possible with God. Ezekiel is no different from us, in fact we are under a better covenant. He must have had faith  as small as a mustard seed.

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20

I believe God no matter what the odds are. 

Ezekiel separated himself to hear God, praying is important. If you will talk more to God, you will see more light. Disengage from idle chatter that can sink you into unbelief. Who you spend time with matters. What you listen to matters. What you say matters.

You must look away from your dry bones unto God, He can restore but it's up to you.

Chaff

Several adjective have been used to describe the wicked, each with varying unpleasant meaning. The chaff is the blown away part of most food crop e.g. wheat, bean or rice. In psalms 1:4 the Bible describes them thus...

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
Vs 6. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

If God says your enemies are chaff, then why are some afraid of a chaff.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: Hosea 4:6
Stop allotting honor to chaffs, rather blow them off your lots.

Ignorance  of their divine ancestry is denying many their blessed privilege as a child of God.
The enemy may come in any form, but address them exactly as God instructs. Chaff.

Who are you? What do you see about yourself? What do you say about yourself? It is puzzling that many fail in the place of identity.
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? John 10:34

A child of God is a god. This profound statement was made by Jesus, it attracted resistance then and even till date the devil is fighting that statement. He has all manner of arguments, but who do you believe?

We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them." Numbers 13:33.

While Caleb and Joshua saw the enemy as surmountable, the other ten spies saw themselves as grasshoppers. What a mindset,  the enemy saw them just as they saw their self.
 You are a winner, stop calling chaff giant.

Believe

There are certain truths I have seen in God's word, and I believe totally. This convictions have shaped my thinking, confession,  expectation and I have severally seen it manifest just as I have believed.

I believe God's promises to the extent that I say to Him, even if you meant it as a joke I still believe. I know He can do more than my small mind can conceive. By believing I'm just helping myself get more of what He's got to offer.

As a child one of my disappointing experience was a cancelled trip to a Father Christmas grotto. I can't recall the reason for bailing, but I remember refusing to undress and starring all-day at the TV watching others enjoy the fun I was denied.

The best of parents can fail, circumstances beyond their control could be the reason but children just want to see you make good your promise. So when I'm told, ...but mummy you said..., then I know bailing out won't be easy.

When it comes to God, the entire world was framed at his words. He's got the capacity, ability and willingness to do as His word says.  He's got no reason to back out, the only barrier is the receiver.

Look beyond your circumstance, look at the one promised.

And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

The virgin birth was as unbelievable now and even inconceivable to young Mary back then. But she believed
Whatever you are believing for...

Playing Judge

A woman caught in the act of adultery was brought before Jesus. It's rather surprising that her male partner was not arraigned. The mobs intention was to stone her to death once Jesus passed his judgement.

His response took all by surprise. ...he who is without sin should throw the first stone.
Don't join in the error of casting stones, don't play judge. Jesus standpoint is for the sinner to be restored.

On the social media, it's common to find juries and judges, dishing out judgement as they seem fit. Before you play the judge you owe it to both parties to hear their cases. When in doubt, a juror asks for evidences that supports the claims.

No guilty party will miss the judgement of God. With man's Justice, a guilty person can be pronounced innocent. But never with God, there's nothing hidden before him. Perhaps that's why he cautioned us in playing judge.

Jesus is the truth, if you chose to be identified with him better walk upright. Do not hide under his cover and lead a double life. Your secret sins will soon be exposed, enough of hiding behind his name and condoning evil.

From the pulpit to the pew, let us take heed, God sees. Our way of life must not repel, don't be the stumbling block. Depart from iniquity. Don't make a mess of the mercies of God.
Remain steadfast in love.

There are many sides to a story, don't be too quick to judge.

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Mathew 7:3

When He restores...

Job was blowed over by Satan, but he was never out. The devil touched all he could, threw his best shoots but Job was spared. He lost all his worldly possessions, his children, but he never lost his God.

To outsiders, the God he trusted had abandoned him. Not even the wife believed him, family and friends stood a distance. He was wished death, and encouraged to curse God, and rest in peace.

Trouble time comes, but there's always an end, nothing lasts forever. Job was down in every way possible, but his day of change was here. In the last few chapters of the book of Job, we see God take up Job on a question and answer spree.

God took the stage to reveal details of himself  that can be found only in the book of Job. It was a real eye opener, God is indeed bigger than any man can comprehend. Job was completely at a loss of words. God is beyond measure.

It was restoration time. Houses, businesses, animals, children, friendships and all that he lost was added doubly to him. His set down was a set up for greater glory.

Don't be too quick to judge your fellow believer. Leave all judgement to God. They believed the worst of him, friends turned to foes. Wife became a knife. God vindicated him.

God is working on us all, He will come true for us. We will be restored. Whatever is meant for your shame will bring you great glory.

The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first.

Modernized Slavery

In our world certain injustices are being allowed to thrive. We are seeing man's inhumanity to man in grander forms. This alarming trend needs our collective smart actions, to supress, or wipe out completely.

Slave trade has taken on a new dimension. It comes with all manner of headings. Child labour, human trafficking, organs trade, etc. There is a buoyant market, surprisingly close and in practically every corner of the world.

Young girls are sold or auctioned to brothels. Babies getting snatched from the cradle. Adults are kidnapped, some have their delicate organs carved out while still breathing. From infancy to greys, there's a huge demand for either a part or a whole human.

The human specie cannot go to extinction, but it is endangered. Man is getting preyed upon  by his fellow man. This market is patronised by differs calibre of people, based on needs. Several reasons can be given for this malady, but majorly money, sex and power.

Man is the unique creation of God. Made in His likeness, to rule over all other creations. However, God never gave man authority over man. We are seeing such inhumane treatment given to this special being that even animals don't get subjected to.

We can't continue to play the ostrich. Safe internet practice must be taught. Illegal travel agencies must be stopped, approved agencies must be easily accessible. More awareness need to be created.

Endeavor to learn some self defense skills, parents watch over your wards. Most
importantly believe God for safety.

The talk point are inexhaustive, may God keep us safe.

Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. Psalms 16:1

Instant

Why wait when I can get it now. Instant meal, coffee, instant spouse, instant miracle, instant education. Instant mom or dad, instant breakthrough, instant travel, instant harvest...

Instant, removes the sweat and sweetness of process. Even the instant coffee underwent several procedures. While, instant things satisfies the flesh, life is not programmed to run on instant.

The law of seed time and harvest, exists in almost all we do. A farmer will conceal a seed for a couple of months or years, labour over his expectations and then waits for harvest at the appropriate time.

The culture of wanting to achieve a level of success without exerting labour is a great deception which prompts people to dip hands in all manner of evil.

As long as the earth remains, there will be day and night, cold and summer, etc. Life doesn't operate a lottery system. Research has even proven that wealth gotten through lottery is non-lasting.

Contentment is not a lack of ambition or drive.  It's rather a loving acceptance of one's growth pertime. It removes unhealthy competition, strife and other vice associated with instant.

Truth be told, we all want to get ahead instantly, but that happens only in dreams. In whatever you do, time, hard work and good practice must be key.

God lifts up, He never throws up. Believe Him for growth, not instant blessings. It is more enduring, and comes completely with ease and peace.

Take pride in enjoying the process, it makes your success story more believable.

And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great. Job 8:7

Hidden Beauty

The Chinese bamboo is a phenomenal tree, it's growth process tells an important story of faith, patience and miracle.

For many years the bamboo grows beneath the earth surface. In the first year of planting, there's no visible sign that a tree was planted.  Notwithstanding, the farmer caters for the land.

In the second year, no visible sign as the land maintains it's vacant look. The third and fourth year tells same story, yet, the farmer continues watering and weeding.

In the fifth year,  the bamboo shoots out from the soil. The next six weeks, sees it grow to an amazing height of eighty feet. The dormancy of four years, ends with the miracle of exponential growth.

Like a bamboo, you may not have answers to years of seemingly fruitless labour. There's absolutely nothing to boast of in marriage, career etc. It seems a waste to follow God's direction in life.

Will you stop hoping in His promises? Will you keeping waiting? If the farmer had listened to those who didn't understand the process of the bamboo. He would have aborted his miracle. A wait on God never ends in vain.

You may need to hold on for another day, but no matter how difficult, please stay steadfast. If it seems God is coming too late it means He's coming in a big way. Your day of joy will be a delight, if you wait patiently.

Don't give up just yet, stay unshaking in faith, continue in prayers and never cease to be thankful. It will be a wow, a wonder,  an amazement. Your hidden miracles approaches.

Shake Off

An incident that happened to apostle Paul best illustrate why you shouldn't accept the devils dirts.

He was enroute to Jerusalem by boat, unfortunately they suffered a wreck. Luckily, no life was lost,  but other valuables perished at sea.

The group of survivors swam to a nearby island. The villagers were compassionate and welcomed them heartily. Having settled down, Paul gathered sticks and lit a fire so they could keep warm.

From the fire, a venomous snake jumped and bit at the arm of Paul. This one surely deserves to die the villagers thought. But he shook it back into the flames and continued as though nothing happened.

This the villagers found intriguing. They expected him to die from the poison. He must be a god they said to themselves. Curiously they gathered around to know more about this superhuman.

Here comes an opportunity to talk about Jesus. The entire village was saved by his testimony and the miracle they withnessed first hand.

Shake off immediately any dirt which you don't want. If Paul had died as a result of the bite, the villagers would have thought he deserved the horrible fate.

Give no room to the enemy.
Whatever you don't want, you must not watch. Don't allow the enemy rejoice over you.
Shake off, don't take in.

But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects.
Acts 28:5

Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith,
1 Peter 5:8,9

Judas Culture

How well do you know people? How friendly are your friends? Judas started out as a student of Jesus, He wanted to know more about the come Messiah.

He earned a reputation of being trustworthy. He became the group's treasurer. At some point he began despising Jesus teachings. He abused the privilege of service by stealing.

Not once did he feel remorse, money is good. The enemies of Jesus must have noticed his dual life, so it was easy to entice him. He would be handsomely paid if he agrees to betray his Master.

After spending three-and-a-half years with Christ, he ended disgracefully. Satan had used and dumped him. A bright light snuffed out just when his next level approaches. He missed an eternal memorial.

The motives of some close associates are similar. At first they may be genuine, you could have grown to love and trust them. Hate, jealousy, envy... can be their motivation. They don't mind your destruction.

The Judas culture is more rampant now. Some friends want your beautiful life. It will take the Holy Spirit to discern them. Remember, they started out as genuine comrades.

Friends are important in life, true friends are a great worth. They are not so hard to find, but they can be easily lost. If you've got great friends, treasure them, they are a rarity.

A lot have fallen prey to enemy friends. However, don't be afraid God indeed delivers. No evil will befall you, their evil plan will not succeed. If you are of God, you are an overcomer.
1 John 5:4

New Day

Another day begins, this unending circle means different things to people. For some they can't wait to get out of bed, others may want some extra moments behind the sheets.
But as dawn settles, the ticking clock waits for no one.

As the day begins to unfold, I pray Lord to order my steps. I ask for guidance. Keep evil away from my household, let your favour envelope me. Wisdom to deal with issues of the day grant me. Send me help as I may need today.

It's purely wise to commit ones day to God. What's inherent in a day is known fully to Him. As there's good so also evil lurks. No matter the pitfalls in the day,  we will not be entrapped. This day will be memorable, it will end in untold joys.

Another wise action is speaking positively into your day. Declare your expectations. Personally, each time I pronounce blessings on myself I paint a mind picture of where I want to be. I see myself becoming those things as I also work to achieving it.

Laughing and smiling are beauty secrets that costs nothing, please indulge in it today. You may be saddled with a load of cares, but worrying will block light access. So replace each worrisome thought with a positive news outcome.

Whatever you have planned today, share love stop hate, shun violence. Whatever seed you don't want to harvest, don't sow. Do unto others as you will want done to you. This day is God's gift, be a blessing and be blessed.

This world can be better and safer if we all decide to live right each day

JESUS

What is in a name? There are notable names world over. Powerful names that can open some doors. Yes there are names, but they are all dwarfed beside the name above other names. Jesus.

In all realms, His name carries tremendous power. In time, all other names fades, reduces in influence, boundary, power or authority. From ages past, and decades to come His name stands taller.

Do you know how much enemies have tried to destroy this name. They tried eradicating the memory of his existence. Still is name is unchanged. Let them increase their tempo, as this name will outlive oppositions.

Thanks be to God for giving us this tremendous authority. However, you must grow in your understanding of His name to enjoy its benefits. You shortchange yourself if otherwise. 

Philippians 2:9-10
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

How did he come about his name? Why is his name powerful? How can I use his name to my advantage? Why do devils cringe before his name? This are some discoveries you have to make yourself. Don't be ignorant.

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It all starts with a relationship, you can pray thus...

Jesus, I ask that you come into my life. Let me know you, reveal the power in your name to me. As I call your name, silence all the threats of Satan in my life. Accept me as your own and help me grow in your love. Amen

Jesus is the name above all other, its been given freely, use with understanding to derive optimum benefits.

I know His love

Always resist, never accept unpleasantness. No matter how it choose to appear, reject it. I have come to realise that a lot of times, we settle for less, because we don't understand God's love.

God's plan, thoughts and deeds to us is motivated by His overwhelming and indescribable love. The truest definitions of love can't describe God's love to his own.

Majority of parents don't want any evil to befall their children, and though we see some exceptions these days, God declared that even when natural parents fail, His love for us is better and unfailing.

Though this love is available to all, it must be recognised and accepted. The truest of love also gets tested. This is when we go through some harsh weather.

We live in a world of choices, don't blame God when your suffering is as a result of your bad choosing. We have diseases, famine and wars in our world today because we refuse God's way.

That is why even in our down times, we must turn to God for help. His directions at this time may seem unpopular but must be obeyed. Love sometimes can be difficult.

 No matter what comes your way, know for a fact that you are loved. Don't join the "why me" gang. Seek out God's way out. Don't further complicate issues by biting the devil's bait.

God love me, this I know.
God love me, that's what matters.

John 15:9
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Shame; Not Allowed

Shame is the opposite of glory. 

It is what the devil tries to put on believers. 

It aims to discredit God's goodness. 

You must disallow it.

God sewed clothes for Adam and Eve even in their banishment. 

He will not allow them to be further ridiculed. 

A believer is an heir of God, 

how can royalty walk with head bowed.

The owner of shame is Satan, don't share is curse. 

Anything that doesn't depict glory is shame. 

Tear that garment off your body, be adorned as a kings kid. 

Your heritage is glory.

Nakedness is shameful, so is wearing rags. 

Only those without their senses appear in such. 

It makes spiritual sense to do self scrutiny. 

Where are you sensing shame?

Arise with the weapons of God's word and prayers. 

Resist the devil swiftly and he will flee.  

Reject any intending shame in your life.

Your portion is glory

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall i not be confounded

therefor i have set my face as a flint, and i know that i shall not be ashamed

Isaiah 50 :7

"Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. 

Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. 

You will forget the shame of your youth and remember 

no more the reproach of your widowhood.
Isaiah 54:4

I'm Grateful

Gratitude is a secret weapon that though well known, very few uses. Being grateful is an attitude of the extremely wise. It strengthens relationships and keep doors of favour open for long.

It doesn't matter how big or small the favour, gratitude is a nice feedback to the giver. It says,  the favour or gift is appreciated.  Not to show gratitude is equated to a thief carting away personal goods.

In a spousal relationship, saying thank you will go a long way in strengthening the bond. Don't take everything as a right. Appreciate the thought and not necessarily the worth of a gift.

Our Maker also deserves our gratitude. He must receive thanks daily. We may have a long list of unmet expectations, but if you have breath in your nostrils you have a  reason for thanksgiving.

One the difference between Saul and David is their show of gratitude. In the Bible, you will find various accounts of David giving thanks to God. For Saul, is tank of thanks was running on red.

Genuine givers of thanks, are always a favourite with God. There are so many things we daily receive that we take for granted. So many ways in which God shows up for us. We may never know the extent of God's help, that's why we must give Him thanks, daily.

Psalms 105:1
O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Work Well

Players!, take position. If you are the goalie stay in your post. Whatever role your coach assigns, give it your best.  You need not envy, strife or be jealous of another.

Not everyone will be the striker, there must be midfielders and defenders. So I may not be the popular scorer, but if I'm a part of the team I must work for the good of all.

We have got different parts, If we work together we succeed together. When you envy another, you probably don't understand your purpose or have not discovered your importance.

God has deposited something special in you, for your world. It is not less important, but may be less popular. You must become your best self, our diverse roles in life makes living meaningful.

In the body, the parts less visible are more important. What is the worth of a long leg,  if the heart is not strong enough. You better get your heart fixed, if you want your long legs to serve you.

If you are a Christian, play your part in winning the lost for Christ. At work, serve well.  Find joy in your position and be the best. Don't look down on anyone, we are all needed differently.

Do not be an old model, keep improving on yourself. No matter where you are at present, there's still a level up. As you grow, you attract more, you attain better, you become more relevant.

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Beloved

I have enjoyed God's favour. I have been helped.  I have received God's love,  its real and unconditional. I have looked at my life, it's been one of grace, great grace.

I have been loved, I'm still been loved.  I wonder what I am. I can't say it enough, God's been good to me. This depicts the story of Jacob, son of Isaac, grandson of Abraham.

Born a twin, his brother Esau was cued to inherit the blessed ancestry. Cunningly he got his bro to sell out. Or who offers a brother food and demands a birthright.

A deceiver just as his name Jacob. No wonder his dad had little love for him. But before we were introduced to him. God had chosen him right inside his mother's womb.

His bad behavior sent him out of his father's house. While on the run he had an encounter with the God of his forebears. The God that will later choose to be named with a fugitive.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. A name that will resonate forever. This is one unfit candidate for Gods eternal link. It's been said, God chooses the unqualified and qualifies the chosen.

His story just like mine, reveals the extent of God's love. I have tried to look for what Jacob did that qualified him for such love. I'm still searching but so far I find nothing but grace, great grace.

Those that cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. This words of Jonah is one of my favorite verse of scripture.  Iam a product of grace,  and I don't have enough words to convey my gratitude.

This grace can be for just anyone who will turn back from wickedness to follow Jesus. In Christ is the greatest of graces. Make Jesus Lord and see how His grace will make you a winner.

Lord Jesus, I confess you as my Lord. Forgive me my sins and make me yours. Please reveal yourself to me and help me to enjoy your grace henceforth. Amen

Wrong Play

I read recently the sad story of a father who lost his fifteen year old daughter. The cause of death was HIV, which she encountered via rape at age two by a close relative.

This sad tale adds to the list of our short comings as a people. It also bring alive the fact that though HIV is real, many are not taking cognisance.

Sex had been in existence from the time of Adam. It is for pleasure in marriage and procreation. Over the years several abuses have been launched at this beautiful expression. Today what we have is sex happening at all age grades.

In the course of my work,  I have been privileged to interact with people living with the HIV virus.  A vast majority of those I met were youths and women. Men hardly come out to be identified.

On our TV years back, were awareness programs on HIV/AIDS. Nowadays there's hardly any.  Do not take its absence on the screen to mean it no longer exists. HIV/AIDS is real, and stories such as the dead teen will serve as a reminder.

Whatever your sexual orientation, please be safety conscious.  A person carrying the virus may not know for several years. It doesn't show on the face,  it's not written on the forehead.
A minor persistent illness is what led to several people discovering their status.

Though HIV is no more a death sentence as was the case years back. It takes expert care and a regime of drugs to stay alive. However, if humans were to follow the ways of God, we won't be combating issues such as this.

It is important to know your HIV status especially if you practice unsafe sex.  Early detection is best in such cases. Sharing sharp objects must be disallowed.
Be safe for your loved ones.

Standards

In a world of falling standards, where anything goes.  It is easy to be tagged "odd", the fact that you are not joining in the wrong, labels you as absurd.

The world is seeing the wrong as right.  Mass majority justify immorality as the norm.  Fraudsters seem to be feasting fat,  while the legit are seen as fools.

This trend can be quite confusing, and some are conforming. "if you can't beat them,..., Others may,  why can't I, etc. 
However, the Lord warns sternly...

 "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:17

World standards may fall, evil may take the major vote,  but bear in mind the word of the Lord

Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."2Timothy:2:19

No matter how the world tries to paint bad good.  God's standard is not changing for anyone. He will never justify wrong

The Lords' side is always the winning side. Don't miss your glory because of the passing pleasure of sin.

Be among the Lords remnant, who refuses to conform to world standards.  Stay true and real to the end .

There's a reward now and in eternity.
May the grace of the Lord keep us till the end

With Proofs

Where are your proofs of being a Christian?
What signs do you Command?
How many people are you influencing for Christ?
When last did you pray for the salvation of others?

Christianity is a religion of signs and wonders.
The least in the kingdom of God is greater than the patriarchs of old.
What proofs are you producing?
You are to be envied by those who do not know Jesus Christ

It's a pitiable fact that many children of God are living as rats.  Trampled and shoved around by demons, ravaged by poverty and sickness, living as though they have no royal ancestry.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

If you are not reflecting the above scripture, there's something wrong somewhere.
Perhaps you need to check your connection to God. Perhaps you need to live a holy life
Perhaps you should stop being a lukewarm, ignorant Christian Revelation 3:16

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods

...Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'?
Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does.
But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father
John 10:34-37

Don't just be a Christian on paper. Be one in deed. Make true your divine ancestry.  Don't be ignorant

Open my eyes OH Lord, help me to know your truth and reflect your ways.

God's PMTCT

PMTCT stands for Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission. This term is commonly used in the case of a pregnant woman with HIV. Because of the threat of passing the virus to the unborn, certain measures are put in place to protect the child during the period of the pregnancy and afterbirth.

I became familiar with the reality of HIV/AIDS while working with an NGO that was into creating awareness, protection and advocacy. My role included production of their magazine and other consumables.
As a result of this, I had physical contact with PLWH  which is acronym for People Living With HIV.

On an occasion, I interviewed a medical doctor on the effects of Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) on PLWs. The medical man helped broaden my knowledge on the grave danger the virus poses to the unborn, especially if the mother is not adhering to the use of the ARVs.
However, the child need not be infected if the PMTCT rules are adhered to.

I wrote the above to butress the fact that,
A child may suffer the consequences of the sins/mistake of his forebears. Also, the fact that one can break free  from evil ancestry.
Hence, I titled this piece - God's PMTCT.

...The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

Getting tested is the first step in treating HIV. Therefore, know your status, what is out of place, a negative pattern... etc.
Another general advice will be praying. However, because we are faced with varying circumstance, the Holy Spirit is our best bet in addressing individual issues.

...But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. John16:13

Curses or blessings can be handed down from one generation to the next. If it's a blessing be grateful but it's its the opposite, with God you can break free.

For everyone born of God overcomes the world... 1 John 5:4

Tolerate my Religion

There's too much hate in our world today.
Surprisingly, religion also contributed to its spread
The love boat is conveying a hate message
Beasts serving as religious heads are the captains

Firstly, you are human and so am I.
Religion is something we came to, by descent.
Any religion that does not have respect for his fellow man is criminal.
Inciting hate, killings, destruction is evil

Religious tolerance is seldom preached.
Some wants to win the next over by force.
Several believe his religion is superior...
And his/her God is supreme

Your theories of hate can't come from reading a holy book.
How can you justify your love to God by destroying another human.
Serve your god without disturbing the next.
Almighty God does not need a man to defend his course via blood shed

I have read the Holy Books, you should too.
Stop listening to teachers of hate.
Seek out the truth yourself. God is love.
Religion not practiced in love is criminal

We started out as humans.
We grew up practicing religion as influenced by descent.
If you use your influence over another to incite violence...
You will certainly not miss your reward(s)

Love the God you can't see by loving his creation.
Love your neighbor, Preach love,  Shun hate
Remember you will face this God soon...

If it's by force, it's no good

The Coming Change 2

Do not kill yourself. Don't commit suicide
Change is a constant thing in life
That problem is not worth you killing yourself
Death is no escape. Don't end your eternity in hell

Depression is hitting hard on our world
What we hear is feeding our senses with despair
The news is no more palatable
The simple solution is to feed your mind with edifying information

Life is a precious gift from God
We all will give account of our sojourn here
Don't take the life you did not create
Please, stop that thought trend

The more you think in the negative
The deeper you sink into despair
Snap out of it. Take a deep breath
Tomorrow is going to be all right

Miracles still happen
There's still good in the land
Your future will be better
It's going to end in joy

The one that benefits from your death is satan
He has got you where he wanted
We all face mountains atimes
But somehow we overcame

Help is just around the corner
There's a silver lining in your sky
The bearer of your good news approaches
Stay and withness your beautiful end

I have it, I hail it, I use it

All hail Jesus, such wonder, such name.
The name I hail and the devil flee swiftly
What! Who dares to resist...
In all realms, Jesus name is hailed as Lord 

Jesus Christ is Lord of my life and home
With Him i have victories, winning...

An unshaking faith in the bearer is key

So highly exalted yet chooses to associate with the lowly
He is love. His love is real without biasness
No discrimination of race, colour or class

The name Jesus is one name you must know
You must belong to Him to enjoy the wonders in His name
Come, meet with Him...
Make Him your Lord be a partaker of His name

The Coming Change

Change is a constant thing in life
Each passing day growing takes place unnoticed
A change for the better is always a delight
As no one wants a turn for the worse

In life we go through divers changes

We also learn from the things that happen to us
While we all desire to stay in pleasant happenings...
Life tend to come with bitter pills atimes

For Job in the Bible, he moved from one extreme of success to failure
But at the end of his life, sweetness was gotten
For a child of God, you have a pleasant future
Your end will always be better

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
Isaiah 3:10

Expect joy, there's a new day ahead
The bitterness of yesterday will soon become history
The troubles will soon be over
You are coming out of that pit

Your desired change must be expected and demanded for in prayers.
Your prayers must be built on a strong faith in the desired end
Prepare for your change.  Speak of your coming change

Soon you will live your dream
It's your right to enjoy goodness

Just Rain

It started like a normal day
Everyone went about their day as planned
Suddenly the rain started, some ran indoors
Others just carried on despite

Rain is fun when it comes in moderation
But this rain has carried on for weeks 
It's becoming a bother...

No answers, just rain 

Gutters are filled, rooftops are quickly disappearing

Everyone is forced out in their life jackets

All scramble for any wood to latch onto

It was a gory sight. No emergency responder sighted

Just in a distance they sight a huge boat
It belongs to our eccentric neighbor; Noah
He had been hammering while we mocked him

We won't drown after all they thought

Noah!!! they called out, open the door for us!!!
But the doors were not locked by Noah
That generation perished because they rejected God
We are in days just as Noah's; rain is coming

We can choose to carry on just like Noah's neighbours

We can even mock those who remind us of the coming Messiah

But will you take a moment to rethink the call to salvation

This world and its fullness will end someday

When the trumpet call will sound, will you go
Jesus Christ is coming... are you prepared

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven,

 nor the Son, but only the Father
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, 

marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;

and they knew nothing about what would happen 

until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man
Mathew 24:36-39

This is the time to join the Lord's company
This is the time to live right

i implore you to decide for Jesus NOW

Pray...Lord Jesus please have mercy on me.

I acknowledge my sins before you.forgive and help me live right 

Please come into my heart and life. help me know you more

and whenever you return don't leave me behind.

This is a simple prayer but it's a start to a new beginning

Coming Back

Its not a new news, it's been told before
The news of His second coming
An event like no other...
Jesus Christ is coming...

The neighbors of Noah had same opportunity
They choose to disbelief, they mocked, geered
His warnings they will not heed
So they died in the flood...

What have you got to loose if you choose Christ?
You loose spending an eternity in hell
You loose the truest love of all
Hell is not for you

Jesus is reaching out to you now
He's asking for your hand in fellowship
He extends you His love
Don't reject or ignore again

This call may be your last call
Take a decision, book your own place in heaven

Dear Jesus, I want to be your own. I want to escape the coming judgement. Forgive all my sins.  Help me to live for you. Thank you for accepting me.  Amen

This simple prayer is a start. You need to know more about Jesus. This is a reason you must be in church. Also, get a Bible and read, you can start from the New Testament.

A genuine seeker of God will never be led astray.
Jesus loves you,  Be blessed

Wear your Crown

Esther the orphan girl that shot into glory.
It must have been her predestination, because the odds were against her. The involvement of God in a humans life can make the scorned become the preferred

Never look down on anyone. Especially a child of God. The Bible affirms the intent of God towards his own. Tell the righteous it will be well with them... This simple truth assures a believer of a better tomorrow


It is a known fact that the enemy opposses God's intentions and so we see some princes walking while their servants ride on horses.  This is an error and it beckons on the prince to fight any oppossing force to its throne

The weapons of prayers is a tool many do not like using, rather than engage the enemy, they run because of fear. That in itself is poverty of the mind,  as a child of God is a born winner.  Therefore if you want to wear your crown,  unseat the thieves

Don't settle for second best,  don't negotiate with the devil.  Don't even spare him a percent of the hundred God promised. Quit the lazing game.  Stop singing what's gonna be gonna be. Bury yourself in the word, let your faith come alive, and live your God live

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
Jeremiah 29:11

If you believe the above, then ensure the word comes alive in your life.  As you take the necessary steps you will see your glory unfolding. #PUSH. Pray until you see positive results and dont stop praying

Church Times: Heaven by choice

Does God want the whole world Saved? Yes
Would the whole world be saved? No
Why? Because of the choices we make.
So despite the provision to get everyone to heaven via the death and resurrection of Jesus, some are still going to hell.

In the times we live, men seem to be able to back anything up with a good argument, and even win the discourse. So all sorts of things seem to fly as being acceptable just because...
God is made to be an all inclusive, anything and everything goes. There's no standards for aspiring heaven dwellers.

So someone comes arguing about gay marriage. Another will tell you bestiality is permissible, still another comes bearing the news that divorce is allowed. Each with an argument that can win a case. So many have been aided in being comfortable doing a wrong thing that they don't even bother to search out or seek out God's view on things 

I deliberately started my discourse to state that heaven is not for everyone. So that my reader may know that the choices we make here under whatever motivations will determine our final destination.
Not to play judge, but have you ever wondered why two male animals don't mate? But some men can defend their take that God is OK with being gay.

Satan has its own congregants and even from a distance you can imagine what to expect. But the church of Christ is coming up with updated versions of all sort of permissible ideals. If its not already existing, very soon I will hear of the church of witches and wizards
Who will also claim to be heaven bound.

Rather than join the existing arguing which no one is ready to sheath the sword,  I will rather implore all to genuinely seek after God. Removing all prior prejudices. This truth I know a genuine seeker of God will be aided aright. As God searches our motives and intentions.

Heaven is not worth loosing at the expense of truth twisters. Know God's truth for yourself and rely on the Holy Spirit to guide you always. Remember we are in the last days and  even the elect may be deceived,  so please test all spirits and let no one steal your good conscience with sweet oratories

Church Times: Prayer Works

If I can pray,  I can break free from limitations
Praying is hardwork, but it pays very well.
Prayer is a weapon, if used accordingly has immense benefits.

A saying  says ... If there's a man to pray, there's a God to answer. If you will give that situation the prayer push you will birth your testimony

Peter was in prison but prayers was constantly made for him by the church. The intention of his captors was to parade him shamefully. But God intervened and rescued him

Jesus told a parable of a woman in Luke 18 That was persistent in asking for her right from an unrighteous judge. At first he wont  budge but because she persisted he granted her request

Jesus used this parable to encourage his followers to pray. Persisting in prayers is not easy, however if you believe you will receive answers, it helps steer the decision to pray

If you are finding it hard to pray then you need to get yourself in an environment of prayer,  soon the same grace of prayer will rest on you and you will be able to reclaim lost grounds

For your prayers to be acceptable, you must adehere to its rule. It must be scripturally based. Prayers is talking to God based on His words

It's time you quit complaining. Prayer works

"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming
Luke 18:4,5

Blame God

When bad things happen, often time the one that gets the blame is God. Human error or mistakes are often ignored. God is the constant name on the lips of the unwise.

The first man also happens to be the first one to tow this line.  Rather than accept he disobeyed, Adam's excuse was ...the woman you gave me... From that time till now not much has changed. See Genesis chapter 3

Applying the simple rule of love your neighbor as yourself..., would have averted a lot of the hatred in our world today. But rather we ignore and are faced with the unpleasant consequences of hate

A plane falls from the sky,  God gets blamed.  A train or bus overruns people, God gets blamed. Natural disasters happen, God is the name some mention. When a creation starts discrediting it's maker... Ask Adam

The world is made up of more water than land. We are seeking how to claim more landmass.  and when there is a revolt and the bad happens. Where is God, is the next question

Rather than playing this blame game, a careful observation of our actions should be put to the fore. Blaming God has never, and will never solve any of our problem.

God is the creator, he has a plan for all He made.  Despite the terrible things happening he calls to all to choose his way.  As this will lead to your own personal fulfilment and joy in a depressing world.

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
Dueteronmy 30:15,16

History Says...

As a huge fan of history, hardly does a week go by without my reading about someone that made a mark positively or otherwise in our society. Luckily for me the internet helps aid my quest.

From my searches I discovered that a lot of benefits we enjoy today are as a result of the dogged and unselfish commitment of our forebears. They paid huge prices in ensuring equality, fairness and justice.

It will be right to say therefore, that if not for the labor and sacrifice of our heroes past, we may not be where we are today.

Aside being a male, female, parent, etc... What is posterity recording about me? What is it about me?
What difference am I to make?
What will I be known for?

It's rather amusing that at the end, the wisest man Solomon said... All is vanity.
He amassed a lot of the stuff we seek today. But still lived unfulfilled.

The precious opportunity God gave us at life is not to be in vain. It's meant for something important.

Solomon in saying vanity is trying to save us from the pursuit of irrelevancies. Rather to pursue our singular life's purpose. Which will bring about some of the other things we desire. So pursuit of purpose is not vanity.

In the time aloted us here I think we should make it a plus.  So whatever good you have found to do, do very well.
